Himmat Card Eligibility Check

What Is the Himmat Card?

The Himmat Card is a social welfare program by the Government of Punjab for persons with disabilities (special persons). It provides a monthly stipend and access to assistive devices such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, and prosthetics. The program aims to support special persons who are not already receiving substantial government benefits from other sources.

The scheme is managed through the Punjab Disability Management Information System (DPMIS) and requires a valid disability certificate issued by an authorized medical board.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Punjab resident with valid CNIC or B-Form (for minors)
  • Valid disability certificate from an authorized medical board
  • Not currently employed in a government job
  • Not receiving BISP or other major stipend programs simultaneously (double-dipping rules apply)
  • Disability certified as permanent or long-term by the medical board

Required Documents

  • CNIC or B-Form of the special person
  • Disability certificate from Punjab medical assessment board
  • Domicile or proof of Punjab residence
  • Guardian CNIC (if applicant is a minor)
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Affidavit that you are not receiving duplicate benefits (if required)

How to Apply

  1. Obtain a disability certificate from an authorized medical board if you do not have one.
  2. Check eligibility with our sensitive and straightforward tool above.
  3. Register on dpmis.punjab.gov.pk.
  4. Enter CNIC, disability details, and upload your medical certificate.
  5. Submit and wait for social welfare department verification.
  6. Upon approval, stipend is disbursed monthly and assistive device requests are processed separately.

After Approval

Approved beneficiaries receive a monthly stipend directly to their bank account or designated payment method. Assistive device requests are evaluated based on medical need and available budget. The department may conduct periodic reverification to ensure continued eligibility.

Important Notes

  • If you are already on BISP with a significant monthly amount, you may be disqualified from Himmat Card
  • Government employees are generally not eligible
  • Keep your disability certificate updated if your condition changes
  • Report any agent asking for money to "guarantee" approval — the process is free
